4th Annual SCORE Off-Road
Safety Demo at the 2019 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo Presented by General Tire
September 28th, 2019
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Pomona Fairplex, SCORE Booth, Building 5
Make plans now to visit SCORE International’s booth in Building #5 on Saturday morning of the 2019 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo Powered by General Tire, in Pomona for an important event.
Beginning at 10:00 AM, on September 28th, SCORE and the Stand 21 Safety Foundation will be providing practical information, advice, and demonstrations of equipment to better protect
yourself, crew, and family in the desert, useful in both off-road racing and off-road recreational
activities.
Veteran racer Danny Ebberts will share in person the details of his horrific fuel fire in the Baja
1000. What he learned can help you, no matter what you drive or ride.
Beyond fire protection, you will learn some tricks and tips about concussions, heat stress,
hydration, neck protection and the value of quick emergency response, thru a lively
demonstration and discussion session led by Yves Morizot and Don Taylor, the President and
Director of the Stand 21 Safety Foundation.
Improving safety for drivers and teams has been a prime objective since Roger Norman took
over the SCORE International racing organization seven years ago, and he has teamed-up with
the Stand 21 Safety Foundation for several previous seminars to educate SCORE racers on how
they can be more proactive in their own protection.
Wanting to share this information with everyone who takes to the desert for sport or recreation, Roger has decided this year to invite all attendees at the Expo on Saturday to learn
from this valuable program.
Plan to meet at the SCORE stage, in the Pomona Fairplex’s Building #5, from 10:00 AM to
11:00 AM. No registration is required.
We all agree that safety is important in off-road racing and recreational activities, and here’s a
quick and easy way to learn something new that may save a life.
